How long do dental crowns last?
Dental crowns last on average from 10 to 15 years, but this depends on many factors: the method of placing and the quality of the crown, oral hygiene, regular check-ups, bite pattern, the health of the surrounding teeth, but also on genetics and the condition of the gums and jaw bones. At regular check-ups, you will receive timely information about the need to replace the crown.
How to take care of dental crowns?
Oral hygiene should be improved, and in addition to brushing teeth, it should include flossing and interdental brushes.
What if I experience a tooth pain under the crown?
If the tooth covered by the crown starts to decay, the dentist will proceed with the treatment after the examination and diagnosis. The tooth can be treated very easily through a crown.
When the dentist grinds my teeth, will I be toothless until I get new crowns?
During the making of permanent crowns, all patients receive temporary crowns and are never missing teeth. Temporary crowns are made of hard plastic material and are a temporary solution.
