Dental implants are artificial root replacements that support dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges or dentures. They are made of titanium, ensuring they will not be be rejected by the human body.
During the procedure, there is no reason to worry about pain as installation of the implants is completely painless, since it is performed under local anaesthesia. That guarantees a worry-free procedure to the installation.
The procedure takes place in two phases. Installation of the implants is now a routine procedure, and requires 1 to 3 hours at most to install the implants (depending on the number of implants). After the installation of the implants, a healing period (3 to 5 months) follows, during which time the implants fuse with the bone. In the second phase of the procedure, the final prosthetic work is carried out, and lasts from 5 to 7 days.
At the end of the procedure, our patients receive a certificate or implant booklet that serves as a guarantee, and contains information about the types of implants, dimensions, serial numbers, date of installation, etc. The implants installed at Dentum come with a life-long guarantee.
